July 2017 – mixed shoes

A consumer from Lithuania during her trip in Poland purchased 3 pairs of shoes. The seller put the chosen shoes to boxes, the consumer paid and returned back home. Only when she came back home to Lithuania, she noticed that the shoes in one box are different. The consumer turned to the seller in order to exchange the shoes. The seller told her to turn to the manufacturer, who forwarded her back to the seller. After that the seller just ignored consumer’s requests. The consumer could not solve the dispute with trader herself and turned to the European Consumer Centre in Lithuania. The complaint was shared with the European Consumer Centre in Poland. Thanks to the cooperation of both centers, the consumer not only received the missing shoe from the pair that she purchased, but also received the other shoe of the pair that was mixed as a gift.
